Private Workshops

Book A Private Workshop

Experience the beauty of stained glass. Groups of up to four people will be held at my small intimate studio at the historic Artscape Wychwood Barns and larger groups will be held at our friends’ spacious shop Big Guppy Media in the junction. These private, hands-on workshops are designed for individuals, couples, or small groups. Learn the traditional techniques of cutting, foiling, and soldering glass as you craft your very own piece to take home.

No experience is needed; both beginners and people continuing their glass journey are welcome.

To book your spot, please fill out our form on this page, and we will get back to you to confirm your booking.

  • When practicing stained glass, you will be working with hazardous materials.

I will provide an abrasive de-lead soap for hand washing, safety gloves, safety glasses, and masks.  You’re welcome to bring any safety equipment you feel most comfortable in.

Solder used in stained glass contains lead. Note that there is no respiratory risk with lead solder (it will not get hot enough to be a danger for vapour), so good hand hygiene is enough to prevent any health risks.

Working with glass means nicks and cuts may happen. Wearing safety gloves during class is recommended. There will be a first aid kit on hand.

This class is suitable for ages 12+ due to working with hazardous materials.

Not recommended for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

The cutting and grinding of stained glass will require you to have full dexterity and a steady hand.

By attending this class, you are fully aware of the risks associated with practicing stained glass and will not hold Kristie Urbanski or the event space liable for any injuries that may occur.

    Cancellation Policy

Strict cancellation policy in place. Refunds will not be issued; however, you may reschedule the class. You must provide a minimum of 48 hours notice if you’d like to reschedule. You may also find a friend to fill your spot. There are no exceptions to this policy.
